Had a great 3 nights'stay at The Reef. From arrival to departure, everything went very well. In Cebu/Mactan their is a large choice of hotels, but i would definetely come back at The Reef, just for the great staff and their sense of hospitality/services. Check-in went super smooth and was done in less than 5 minutes. Had chosen a premier sea view room with balcony. Room is very spacious, good amenities, and of course great view, have added some pictures. A special note also to the housekeeping staff, spotless and clean room, made daily. Breakfast was great as well, plenty of choices for all taste, the live cooking station for your morning eggs is a real plus. Brewed coffee in the morning, good but not wow. Had daily a cappucino and freshly squeezed orange juice at their coffee shop, The Bakery. Here i must say that it is so far in the Philippines, the best cappucino i had, right balance between coffee/milk, well done and congrats to the Barrista. Had 1 time also dinner there, food was good and tasty, i would recommend less sauce for the pasta Alfredo, it was really too much liquid, but not a major issue, just some space for improvement. Had also as take away a Caesar salad, tasty, but would suggest proper fork with take away order, not very comfortable to eat a salad with a spoon, even an hybrid spoon/fork. Had also meals at their regular restaurant The Kitchen, good variety of dishes, tasty food, try the dumplings you won't regret. Beach area clean and safe, use water shoes as there are rocks in the water. Great snorkeling spots, lots of Nemo fishes and other species, a pleasure to spend time in the water. The hotel propose snorkeling material to rent, probably good to rent fins as it takes space in a luggage, for the rest i would say buy your own equipment, mask+snorkel rental is 400 Pesos per hour. Cheap but with all the fishes you can easely spend 4h a day in the water if not more. Tried also their Spa with a 60min body massage.

Upon checking in, we were greeted with a cold drink and a towel. All the staffs were friendly, attentive and accommodating. The Kitchen, the Grounds and the Bakery served amazing, tasty, good-value for money dishes- staffs were great too. Our room had a partial view of the ocean, we loved it! The linens, pillowcase and the bed did not smell of bleach. The mattress was firm- suited our preference. We loved our coffee machine- had a bit of trouble operating it but it got sorted by staff immediately. Our balcony door locked permanently after opening it once- had to call it in at 9pm- staff addressed it but had to come back the next day to complete the task- also, got sorted in a timely manner. The tissue roll was thick, might be a 3-ply, the towels were 100% cotton! I loved how the Tav did not have that small light on after turning it off at night. Most hotels, i had to stand up and remove the plug from the socket or cover that red light so I can sleep straight. Me and my partner preferred swimming by the beach, we tolerated the rocky shores as the water was nice and warm. The lofeguard was patient in teaching us how to paddle board (our first time). He monitored us closely until he knew what were doing. We felt assured with this gesture. There was good variety of fruits, bread, protein and vegetables during breakfast buffet. We requested for freshly cooked omelette i loved it. Me and my partner will never forget our experience at the Reef! We’re hoping thst when we visit PHI again, they will have room swrvice and food delivery. Overall, our stay at the Reef culminated the final leg of our 21-day Philippine Holiday. Thank you for looking after us!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean, spacious, well-equipped, and felt freshly renovated. We had a sea view, which we absolutely loved. Breakfast was excellent, despite going late each morning, nothing felt picked over and the variety was impressive, with fresh and tasty options including meats, fruits, and local dishes. The hotel has three restaurants, and the food in all of them was delicious, especially the traditional Filipino cuisine at The Grounds. The beach area is small, but it wasn’t crowded during our stay, so we had a great time. You can borrow coral shoes for free and rent snorkeling gear, which was a nice bonus. We also visited The Spa and really enjoyed the massage. For the price, no other Mactan hotel we considered came close in terms of service and facilities.

We absolutely loved our stay! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We were even upgraded to a bigger room, which was such a nice surprise and made our stay even more comfortable. The room was spotless—super clean and well-maintained—and the whole property felt very well cared for. We really enjoyed the amenities too. There’s a beautiful pool and direct access to the beach, so we got the best of both worlds. The food was a real highlight. Every meal we had was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. You can tell a lot of care goes into the menu and service. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely come back again!

This was the best hotel I stayed in on Cebu. It was comfortable, the pool had a great view, the room had an even better one, the breakfast was excellent - a buffet with a huge spread, an egg station, fruit station, juice station, cereal bar, viennoiserie bar, everything was quite mind-blowing. The hotel also has an in-house bakery with soft serves and pretty good pastries. The cloud motif on all the toiletries and bedroom slippers was very chic.
